Why use a data migration service? Changing systems means moving years of customers, suppliers, items, jobs and history, usually with duplicates and gaps along for the ride. We move that data into the new system, clean it on the way, and reconcile it so you can show nothing was lost. That includes old Access, FileMaker and SQL databases, where a data migration consultant who knows those databases is often the only way to get the data out cleanly.
Our data migration services also cover spreadsheets and old accounting or ERP systems, including moves to Xero, MYOB or a new ERP. Once the data is clean, we connect it to the software you use now, so it stays right. You get one set of records your team can trust, and the old system can finally be switched off. Switch Over in One Go

The Technical Side

Mapping
Every field in the old system is matched to a field in the new one, including codes, categories and custom fields. Anything with no obvious home is agreed with you before the move.
Reconciliation
Record counts and totals (balances, open invoices, stock on hand) are compared between old and new, and any difference is explained before go-live.
Test runs
The move is run on a copy first, checked by your team, then repeated for the real switch-over, so the final run holds no surprises.
Ongoing connections
Where systems need to stay in step after the move, we connect them through their APIs (the official way software talks to other software), with each record traced to its source so re-runs don’t create duplicates.

What kind of data do you migrate?
Business system data: customers, suppliers, items, jobs, open transactions and history, out of Access, FileMaker, SQL databases, spreadsheets and old accounting, ERP or job systems. We don’t do email, SharePoint, file server or Microsoft 365 migrations; your IT provider is the right person for those.
How long does a data migration take?
It depends on how many systems are involved, how much history you keep and how messy the data is. A single system with clean data is quicker than several with years of duplicates. We scope it first and give you a plan and a fixed quote.
Can you clean our data without moving systems?
Yes. Data cleansing on its own is common: duplicates merged, missing details filled, formats made consistent, then connected so the systems stay in step and the mess doesn’t come back.
