MYOB Acumatica Pricing: What Drives the Cost

21 October 2026 Kenomont Team Business Strategy, Systems Integration

MYOB doesn't publish a price list for MYOB Acumatica (formerly MYOB Advanced). It is sold per user, per month, through MYOB's partners, and each business gets a quote based on how many people use it, which edition and modules it needs, and how much setup work is involved. Published partner figures give a rough guide to the licence cost, but for most businesses the bigger costs sit outside the licence: implementation, data migration and connecting the systems around it.

What partners publish

Because MYOB sells MYOB Acumatica through partners, the only public figures come from them and from independent comparison sites. As at October 2026:

  • Cloud Factory, an MYOB Acumatica partner, lists MYOB Acumatica Plus at $215 per month, Enterprise at $271 and Manufacturing at $294. Its page doesn't say whether these are per user or include GST.
  • ERP Research, an independent comparison site, says most Australian businesses pay between A$148 and A$215 per user per month, depending on edition and modules, and puts implementation at A$40,000 to A$250,000.

Treat these as a starting point, not a quote. Prices change, and what you pay depends on your users, modules and contract.

What drives the licence cost

The monthly subscription depends on:

  1. How many people need access. It is priced per user, so the count matters. Check who really needs a full login and who only needs reports or approvals.
  2. Edition and modules. Distribution, manufacturing, project accounting and payroll are licensed separately or come with particular editions. Paying for modules you won't use for a year or two adds up.
  3. Payroll. Including Australian payroll changes the price and the setup work.
  4. Contract length. Longer commitments usually change the monthly rate. Read the terms on price increases and minimum users.

The costs outside the licence

For most businesses moving up from Xero or MYOB Business, the licence is not the largest number. Plan for:

  • Implementation. Configuring the system to how your business works: chart of accounts, workflows, approvals, reports and user roles. This is usually done by the partner, and its size depends on how much of the business moves onto the system.
  • Data migration. Moving customers, suppliers, items, open transactions and history from your old systems, cleaning them on the way, and checking the balances match. Old data is rarely as clean as people expect. See accounting data migration.
  • Integrations. Your job system, online store, CRM, warehouse or payroll system still needs to talk to the new ERP. Ready-made connectors cover some of these; the rest need building. See MYOB API integration.
  • Reporting. Standard reports rarely match how the owners and finance team want to see the business. Budget for building the reports people will actually use.
  • Training and change. Staff time to learn the system, run old and new side by side, and settle into new ways of working.
  • Ongoing support. Partner support plans, changes as the business grows, and someone who understands both the system and how you use it.

How to keep the cost under control

  1. Map your processes first. Know which processes move onto the new system, which stay where they are, and where data has to flow between them. An implementation scoped against a clear map is easier to price and less likely to blow out.
  2. Only licence what you need now. Start with the users and modules you'll use from day one, and add more as you grow.
  3. Clean the data before the move. Duplicates and old codes cost time during migration and cause problems afterwards.
  4. Decide what history to bring. Bringing every year of transactions across costs more than opening balances plus a searchable archive.
  5. Get integrations and reporting into the quote. Ask each partner exactly which integrations and reports are included, and what happens if a connector doesn't do the whole job.

Is MYOB Acumatica the right step?

It suits businesses that have outgrown Xero or MYOB Business: several entities, real stock or manufacturing, project accounting, or more people and approvals than a small business system handles well. It isn't the only option. Some businesses keep Xero or MYOB for the accounts and run operations in a separate system alongside it, such as ERPNext. Others find that connecting what they already have, with better reporting, solves the problem for far less. For a comparison with another common choice, see MYOB Advanced vs NetSuite.

Frequently asked questions

How much does MYOB Acumatica cost per month?

MYOB doesn't publish prices. Partner and comparison-site figures put it at roughly $148 to $215 per user per month for most businesses, with some editions listed higher. Your price depends on users, edition, modules and contract, so get a quote.

Is MYOB Acumatica the same as MYOB Advanced?

Yes. MYOB Advanced was renamed MYOB Acumatica. It is built on the Acumatica cloud ERP platform and sold in Australia and New Zealand by MYOB and its partners.

Why is implementation so much more than the licence?

Because the work is in fitting the system to your business: configuration, data migration, integrations, reports and training. A business with one entity and clean data needs much less than a multi-entity group with stock, projects and several systems to connect.

Can we keep some of our current systems?

Often, yes. Job, field, CRM or warehouse systems can stay and be connected to MYOB Acumatica, so only the parts that need to move do. Whether that's cheaper than moving everything depends on how well those systems fit how you work.

How do we work out what we actually need?

Start by mapping your processes and systems: what each team does, where data is entered and retyped, and which reports the business runs on. That gives you a clear scope to take to partners. Our Process & Systems Audit does exactly that.
